Well, here we are again. 4 months later and a lot has happened. The car has been going through some pretty big changes since we last posted. The fuel sending unit is in as well as the seat belts.
I mentioned a few paint and body flaws that were in need of attention. Ha! The trim, bumpers, hood and trunk have been removed to do the necessary body and paint improvements. We actually decided to have the car taken completely down and block sanded. Then a new paint job was done. We have come this far so let’s get it right! The original trim was repaired and polished and re installed. Reproduction pieces are just not the same.
The next project will be to install a new performance intake manifold and get a new tune. It still isn’t quite right for us. The same person will be putting coil over shocks on the front to raise the front end about one half an inch. Plus he will be stiffening the shock some. He will install our new ahooga horn too.
The next time you hear from us the project should be pretty complete.
